About GIS

GIS has taken shape under the direct guidance of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modiji on 15th April 2011 being launch by the hands of Hon. Minister Shri Saurabhbhai Patel in the august presence of more than 300 Innovators, Innovation related institutes and more than 20 Industrial associations officials to support the GIS Innovation initiative by its founder members. GIS is basically focused towards Innovators, Innovation and developing Innovative culture in Industry so that day to day activities and problems could be solved out in some Innovative way. Every year GIS gives around 15-17 awards for innovation in four different categories like Gujarat Ratna Award, Hercules Award, Achievers Award and Trend Setters Award.

This innovation comes in our mind after reviewing baby products like diaper in market. Hydrogel are used in diaper like baby care product. Hydrogel in diaper have tendency to absorb 400 times then its actual weight. At one time, we have one idea, why these technologies are not used in agriculture? Then We have started to work on hydrogel and have made successful hydrogelling system that can be used in agriculture. Effective use of hydrogel can reduce water requirement and fertilizer requirements in to the soil.
